The inaugural MSDPO 5K Fun Run \ Walk held on April 30th at the Missouri School for the Deaf campus was a big success. A total of 80 runners and walkers took part in the event. Among them was MSD's very own, Sparky.
As MSDPO President Jeff Patridge stated, "Everyone seemed to have a great time. Since this was our first event of this type, we learned some lessons that will only help to make it better in the years to come."
The MSDPO would like to thank Stark Elementary teacher Megan Key for suggesting this event, and for her work to coordinate it. We would also like to thank all of our volunteers, sponsors, the Missouri School for the Deaf, and the City of Fulton and Fulton Police Department for their help. We couldn't have done it without you.
Finally, the MSDPO would like to personally thank Brad Drew, a teacher assistant at MSD, for designing the awesome logo that was used for this event. As one student said, "It rocked!" Sparky even barked in agreement.
